From Wired UK (original article here):

One of the toughest forces military pilots have to deal with is gravitational force, or G-force. To make sure they can handle this while in the air, they have to practice an anti-G straining maneuver on the ground, by spinning around in a centrifuge while controlling a flight simulator.

WIRED senior editor Gian Volpicelli visits the new Thales High-G Training Facility at an RAF base in Cranwell, Lincolnshire, to learn how pilots train to cope with forces of up to 9G – and has a go himself.
